Phase 90
The Phase 90 came out in 1974, with a single knob and an orange enclosure, and has been the reference for phasers ever since. The variants that grew up around it differ in two things: the number of phase stages - four in the 90, ten in the 100 - and whether the circuit feeds back or not. That last point is the difference between the early 'script' version and the later one, and it is more audible than it sounds.
