Death By Audio was started in Brooklyn in 2002 by Oliver Ackermann, guitarist of A Place to Bury Strangers. The brand is known for fuzz and distortion that goes well beyond the usual, and for pedals that combine distortion with delay, filter or modulation in one enclosure.
